Davido has officially announced a joint album with American R&B star Chris Brown, scheduled for release in 2027. The confirmation came through video clips shared on April 20, 2026, during his Martell Swift Conversation interview in Vienna, Austria, which also marked the launch of his tour.

The project builds on the duo’s longstanding collaboration, which began in 2019 with the hit single “Blow My Mind”. Davido has previously spoken about having over 20 tracks ready for the joint effort, with plans for a major supporting tour across Europe and Africa also in the works.

The announcement comes shortly after Davido’s historic Coachella performance, where he delivered a 45-minute set as the only Nigerian or Afrobeats artist on the main stage.

Fan reactions on X have been mixed. Many expressed excitement over the high-profile link-up, while others noted a degree of skepticism, citing the long wait and comparing the timeline to Davido’s previously teased collab projects in the past. Some comments also referenced lower-than-expected streams on recent Davido and Chris Brown collaborations.

No further details on the album title, tracklist or exact release date within 2027 have been shared at this time.
