The long-running “when is he dropping?” era finally closes this Friday. With under 48 hours to go, Omah Lay has unveiled the tracklist for Clarity of Mind—the most anticipated Nigerian project of the year through a series of handwritten images showcasing the album’s tracklist and credits.
Arriving two years after his last release, the 12-track album leans heavily into his afro-emo, mental-health adjacent persona—an image amplified by intimate, DIY visuals and calculated theatrics.
The internal credits reveal long-time collaborator Tempoe as the project’s primary architect, producing or co-producing half the tracklist, including the spiritual bookends “Jah Jah Knows” and “Amen.” The sonic consistency is further anchored by a dedicated engineering team, with Damjan Blažun handling recording and mixing across nearly the entire project, and Nicolas De Porcel overseeing the mastering.
From the production contributions of Lekaa Beats and David Ham to the singular feature from Elmah. By bypassing the typical list of heavy-hitting features, the album bets entirely on Omah Lay’s ability to hold the listener’s attention alone.
