After completely dominating the Nigerian charts in 2025, Folarin Odunlami—better known as FOLA—is ready for his next chapter. The Dangbana Republik and EMPIRE artist just announced that his second studio album is on the way, following up his highly praised debut, Catharsis.

FOLA went from being an artist to watch to a major force in the new school thanks to a massive run of hit singles last year. He took over the airwaves and streaming platforms with tracks like the high-energy street anthem “Eko,” alongside soulful, R&B-infused records like “You” and “Lost,” which really showed off his deep songwriting and unique Fuji-style vocals. He also struck gold with the “Alone” remix featuring BNXN, peaking at number four on the TurnTable Top 100, while deeper album cuts like “Caricature” went viral simply for their raw, emotional honesty.

Dropped in September 2025, Catharsis spent 14 weeks on the charts, outlasting albums from several industry heavyweights. The project featured top-tier producers like Kel-P, Sbthaproducer, and LOL, along with heavy-hitting guest features from Victony, Kizz Daniel, Gabzy, and Young Jonn.

By teasing a new project so quickly after his big break, FOLA is proving he is one of the hardest-working voices in Afro-soul and R&B. While his first album was very personal and intimate, this next one looks like it might have a bigger, more mainstream pop sound while keeping his raw, romantic edge.
