Christy Essien Igbokwe (November 1960 – 30 June 2011) was a Nigerian musician and actress. In her lifetime, she was sometimes called Nigeria’s Lady of Songs and was known for her song “Seun Rere”. She was the first female president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN). She was also the chairwoman and managing director of Soul Train entertainment limited.

Her song ” Can’t Change A Man” a funk/disco music was released in 1979, in the album “One Understanding” under the label, Afrodisia.

The song talks about the confidence and self worth of a man. No matter what an ungrateful and rude female partner says about her male lover, it can’t break him.
