Yinka Davies is a Nigerian contemporary Jazz musician, who also performs other genres of music including punk, rock and fro-soul. She has been int he music industry for over 30 years and has functioned in various artistic capabilities. She is best known to contemporary music fans as a co-producer, songwriter and composer on Side By Side ( 1992 ), the debut album by the mysterious masked Nigerian Afrobeat artiste Lagbaja.

    She has collaborated on songs with artistes like Ruleclean, Orits Wiliki, Blackky, Florocka, Sir Shina Peters and the late Fatai Rolling Dollars. She has also released 3 studio albums Work (1998), Emi n’lo (2002) and the critically acclaimed Black Chiffon (2010) which features this single Owo, a fusion of Jazz and Fuji music that featured Fuji legend Sikiru Ayinde Barrister in what is perhaps his last collaboration before he died in the same year the album was released thus making it his last collaboration.

She is currently a judge on the music talent discovery television show Nigerian Idols
