It’s been exactly one year since I lost my father Prince Nyaka Mindapa who was one of Nigeria’s best journalists of his time. His death was nothing we expected because it was sudden.I wept because it hurt, I wept because I had so many plans for him to see, I wept because I felt he had many more years to live.

I can’t believe a year has gone by so fast. It still hurts knowing I have no father anymore, I still have his phone number feel like I can call and I’ll hear him say hello ? the pain doesn’t really fully go away but what can I say? He’s resting.
