UK Artist/Producer Ayo Beatz, has uploaded the visuals for his tune ‘Kangol’, in which he  pays homage to the brand and its enduring appeal. The record also gives a nostalgic ‘head nod’ to some of the hip hop icons who inspired Ayo Beatz through his musical journey and when first exposed to the genre.  “I used to watch old videos by artists like Run-DMC, LL Cool J, Slick Rick and The Notorious B.I.G who all rocked Kangol hats which I thought  was cool, they also rapped about the hats in their lyrics” he says.

‘Kangol’ was self produced by Ayo Beatz. Although he puts across a throwback feel with the lyrics, production wise, he kept the song current within the ‘trap-mosphere’ by adding his signature 808’s and running hihats, a combination which definitely works.

Over the years, Ayo Beatz has been busy! working with everyone from Wretch32, Wiley, Labrinth to Jason Derulo to name but a few.
