Dela is arguably the most powerful female vocalists we have in East Africa. Her claim to fame is the Hello Swahili Cover, a translation of Adelle’s Hello. Sang with emotion and her powerful vocal ability, some international blogs even said that it is better than the original. CNN called her the “best thing to happen to 2015”.
 
Under Taurus Musik where she was signed in June, she has released Mafeelings, Third Party Lover and Ahadi Zako which are all enjoying airplay on radio and TV stations across the country and in East Africa as well.
 
Adding another hit under her belt, Dela has released “Mama”, a celebration of mothers worldwide; this coming barely two weeks after Mother’s Day (May 8th).

Known to love to experiment with music and different languages, Dela shows this aspect on this particular record, releasing it in Yoruba, French, Swahili and her native language, Kisii.

The track, produced by Saint P, has an upbeat tempo and is enjoyable by lovers of good music regardless of language and age.
