The talented, beautiful and humble Soul Singer Kayefi is one of my favourite Nigerian Vocalists. Her voice has this funky traditional edge which I can only compare to perhaps a Storm Rex. She has been away from the music business for a while, but returns today with a quality single as usual. It’s a nostalgic love song titled Idowu Ogbo and was produced by her longtime Producer ID Cabasa whom I feel is like the only person that can get Kayefi in the studio. Cabasa if you see this, please help us and release a Kayefi album.
