News:- UK Official Charts Launches New Weekly Top 20 UK Afrobeats Chart

The Official Charts Company in conjuction with Afro Nation launches new weekly top 20 Afrobeats chart in the UK.

The weekly charts spotlights the top Afrobeats songs compiled using sales in the UK, streaming data from over 9,000 platforms, including audio and video streams, downloads and physical sales.

The first edition of The Official UK Afrobeats Charts will be unveiled on Sunday, 26th July 2020 on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

The Top 20 chart will be published every Sunday thereafter at 2pm via a weekly Spotify ‘Official UK Afrobeats Chart’ playlist, along with a bonus slot to spotlight a new release for listeners to discover. A weekly video countdown on the Afro Nation and Official Charts social channels.

However, The Official Chart Company released a list of the the biggest Afrobeats songs in UK in the last 12 months. Top of the chart is J Hus – Must Be. Nigerian songs on the list are; Burna Boy – Ye, Davido – Blow My Mind, Wizkid – Joro, Mr Eazi – Miss You Bad ft. Burna Boy, Rema – Dumebi, Tekno – Skeleton, Naira Marley – Soapy.
