The Empawa Africa Music Initiative for upcoming artistes is in it’s second phase, kicking off the maiden edition in 2018, with acts like Joeboy, Lady Donli, J. Derobie and others getting funding and technical support to launch and promote their music careers. Mr Eazi, the head of the initiative has revealed two gospel artistes will be among the list of beneficiaries to receive the monetary grants and additional incentives that comes with getting selected.
He took to his twitter page to make the revelation.
He wrote, “Two Gospel artists getting that #Empawa Grant”.
Submission for the second edition was opened August 15 – September 15, 2019 to rising african music artistes. The number of beneficiaries extended to 30. According to the official press release, “The #emPawa30 will include 10 artists from Nigeria, 10 artists from other countries on the African continent, and five UK-based African artists, with the remaining five spots open to African-born artists in countries around the world, including the U.S. and Canada.
