Popular Nigerian artiste, Duncan Mighty was arrested by Imo State Government for breach of contract worth N11,000,000.
According to the official statement released by the police, Duncan Mighty was arrested for failing to meet the agreement he signed with the state government to promote an upcoming rapper, M2.
M2 had made a petition to the state police against Duncan Mighty. He claimed the Imo State Government, under Rochas Okorocha’s leadership signed an agreement with Duncan Mighty, endorsed by the entertainment office of the government to be signed to Duncan’s label, Young Wealth Records, given promotion, and collaboration with top artistes. Duncan Mighty was paid upfront Eleven million naira (N11,00,000), but he failed to meet his end of the deal.
The singer had earlier been arrested in October, he cut an agreement to refund the money and the contract terminated. He was rearrested for failing to refund the money he received. According to the petition he absconded.
The police released Duncan Mighty earlier today, after negotiations and refund agreements were drafted by both parties.
