MI Abaga has announced the Track-list, Features and Producer credits on his fifth studio Album, “Yung Denzel“. The rapper took to his twitter to make the announcements using images after posting a series of cryptic tweets which turned out to be the names of the songs on the album. Due for an August 24th release, the album is 10 tracks long and it is described by the Chocolate City Boss as “A Study On Self Worth“.
“Yung Denzel” is the second of three releases billed for this month aptly titled The #LAMBAugust series, with the first album “Crown” by A-Q and Loose Kaynon already out and chatting. Here are 6 things you need to know about “Crown”
M.I takes a different approach to naming the songs on the album, opting for short sentences as the names of the tracks, instead of the traditionally one worded titles. Nine tracks on the album are titled this way, except for the seventh track which is just titled “+-” Going by this, we can deduce that this album has been ready for quite sometime, as an earlier released single “You Rappers Should Fix Up Your Lives” is listed as part of the songs on the album and it follows the pattern of the naming of the songs on the album.
“Yung Denzel” features exciting voices like Niyola, Tay Iwar, Odunsi The Engine, Cina Soul and Lady Donli. Zambian producer and artist PatrickxxLee and 25-year-old Los Angeles-based Cameroonian singer, rapper and songwriter Lorine Chia also make appearances on the album. The album features production from Tay Iwar, Chopstix, Major Bangz, TMXO, DOZ, Chillz, GMK, PatrickxxLee and M.I himself.
The body language surrounding this release indicates that this album will be full of soul and deep thought, as M.I, the artists featured and the producers are specialists in this. If this happens to be the case, we will be getting a slightly different “M.I Abaga “on “Yung Denzel” and I cannot wait to listen to what the man has been cooking, and if you are like me, you can be the first to have it on it’s release by simply Pre-Ordering it here.
Over to you, M.I!
